Wentzville suspect arrested after a car chase, crash, and run through the woods Sunday morning

Missouri State Highway Patrol say, the police activity created traffic delays.

WENTZVILLE, Mo. — A car chased Sunday morning in Wentzville ends with the suspect in custody.

Sunday police pursued a car driving on U.S. Highway 61 in the Wentzville area at around 8:30 a.m., according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

The pursuit lasted for 10-15 minutes.

The chase ended at U.S Highway 61 and highway A in Wentzville.

Police were able to stop the car. The report said there was a minor crash at an unidentified location. 

The police reported the suspect fled on foot into the woods. 

 The suspect was taken into custody. 

O'Fallon Police Department handled the crash report. 

The police have not released exactly where the chase began. 

The police have not released the identity of the suspect and the reason for the pursuit.
