ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Police are asking for more possible victims to come forward after they say they found child pornography in the possession of a man charged with statutory rape and sodomy.
The St. Louis County Police Department said that David Dockens Jr., 39, of Covington Manor Lane in Mehlville, was charged on Sept. 11 with one count of second-degree statutory rape and two counts of second-degree statutory sodomy.
Police said in a probable cause statement that the victim was 14 years old and she and Dockens were living in Louisiana when the abuse started. It continued when they moved to St. Louis County in 2018 and after the victim turned 15 years old.
Police said Dockens admitted to a witness during a recorded phone call that he was in a sexual relationship with the victim.
During the investigation, police said they found child pornography in the form of videos and photos on Docken's electronic devices.
Police have not identified the depicted children but believe they could live in the St. Louis area. Anyone who believes they have been victimized by Dockens is asked to call police at 314-615-5370.
The St. Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons -- Child Abuse Unit is investigating.
Dockens is in custody on $250,000 cash-only bond.
