ST. LOUIS - Multiple people have been charged in the 2013 murder of Chauncey Brown, and subsequent murders of witnesses to Brown's murder.
In October of 2015, charges were dropped against Tyrell Davidson, who was a suspect in the murder of Brown.
While the original case against Davidson was awaiting trial, two key witnesses, James Moore and Noah Barnes, were murdered.
Davidson's original charges were dropped because of the murders of witnesses Moore and Barnes, and other witnesses' fears to come forward.
Davidson has now been charged again in the murder of Brown, and Davidson's mother, Latashia Mopkins has been charged with arranging to kill off Moore and Barnes to keep her son out of jail.
An investigation determined Mopkins had enlisted the help of her relatives, Frederick Mopkins and Cortez McLinton as well as another man, Travon Knighten to carry out the murders of the witnesses.
