Public memorial for Ted Drewes Jr. scheduled for Sept. 14

The custard stand will be closed for the day.

ST. LOUIS — The Drewes family invited the public to a celebration remembering Ted Drewes Jr. The memorial church service was scheduled for Sept. 14.

Drewes Jr., an icon for a beloved St. Louis frozen custard stand, died on August 26. Ted Drewes Frozen Custard is a popular treat for residents and an attraction for out-of-towners. 

The memorial service was scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Chapel at St. Timothy & St. Titus at Concordia Seminary of St. Louis. The address is 801 Seminary Place, St. Louis, MO 63105.

The custard stand will be closed for the day.

The family asked that instead of flowers, donations be made to the Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Soulard.
