Heavy rains cause more than $1M in damages to Fox, Seckman High stadiums

The district does not know when the repairs will be completed and when the stadiums may reopen.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. — The Fox C-6 School District has closed the athletic stadiums at Fox and Seckman high schools due to damage from last week’s heavy rains.

Superintendent Paul Fregeau said Monday that the damage to the stadiums is significant and the cost to repair the damage at both stadiums is expected to cost more than $1 million combined.

Fox High is at 751 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold, and Seckman High is at 2800 Seckman Road in Imperial.

The stadiums at both those schools were still closed on Monday, prohibiting access to the tracks, fields and bleachers.

Fregeau said the district does not know when the repairs will be completed and when the stadiums may reopen.

“There will be a significant impact on fall sports as well as (physical education) classes and band,” he said “We are working on plans to relocate games if necessary. We will share more when more details are available.”
