$206,585 raised during 5 On Your Side and MDA 'Show of Strength' at Grant's Farm

The fundraiser helps people living with neuromuscular diseases.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis community showed up again for people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other neuromuscular diseases. The "Show of Strength," a two-hour broadcast for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, raised over $200,000 Sunday night, with more donations pouring in.

Mike Bush and co-hosts Anne Allred and Rene Knott shared stories of hope and triumph. Grant's Farm hosted the live event during its Summer Nights event.

The event raised $206,585. The funds go to help people in our area and support research for these diseases, for which there is currently no cure.

More than 5,500 people in the St. Louis area are helped by the MDA each year. Donations can be made online through a special page set up by the MDA.
