MISSOURI, USA — The Missouri State Fair announced on Monday that Missouri's very own Ruby Leigh will be performing with country singer and songwriter Tracy Lawrence on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
The fair begins on August 8 and goes through August 18. This pair marks the fifth concert announced of the fair's concert series. They will perform together at 7:30 p.m.
Ruby posted to Facebook Monday, "Well, I told y’all I had something exciting I was working on three weeks ago! It’s official now!"
The 16-year-old self-taught singer from Foley, Missouri, who took the world by storm on NBC's "The Voice" and finished in second place, has not stopped dreaming big.
She will share the stage with Lawrence, a CMA and ACM award winner with a 30-year resume in country music. He has sold 13 million albums and 18 number-one singles.
According to a Missouri State Fair press release, Lawrence has shown interest in working with younger artists. He has featured Jelly Roll, HARDY and Lainey Wilson on his podcast "TL's Road House."
The fair has also announced performances by Foreigner, Warren Zieders, Tauren Wells and Ludacris.
Tickets for Lawrence and Leigh are $40 for track seats and $35 for Grandstand seats. Tickets go on sale starting at 9 a.m. on May 21 through Etix. Click here to purchase tickets.
Missouri's State Fair has been a tradition since 1901. According to its website, the fair helps keep the state's agriculture one of the top industries in Missouri.
