ST. LOUIS — Foley native Ruby Leigh came in second place on season 24 of "The Voice."
The season's top five singers competed in the live two-part finale, and the decision on who would take the top spot was left up to the fans.
Ruby beat out three other competitors during Tuesday night's finale but came in behind Huntley from coach Niall Horan's team.
"Congratulations on getting this far," Coach Reba McEntire said to Ruby during one of their finale rehearsals. "You've done so well. You've hung in there. I know it's been a tough, long journey, but I'm so proud of you."
Ruby and her coach performed Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" during the finale. Watch the full performance here.
"Honestly, our mark was for the top 5, and we made that," Ruby's father, Casey Pearson, said hours before the finale. "This part here is just honestly, it has very little to do with the singing. It's more of a popularity contest at this point."
