ST. LOUIS — Schnuck Markets, Inc. announced Tuesday that major renovations are underway at two of its St. Louis-area stores.
According to the St. Louis-based grocery chain, the total-store remodels are taking place at the stores located at 12987 New Halls Ferry Road in Florissant and 60 Hampton Village Plaza in south St. Louis.
"Teammates at both our Cross Keys and Hampton Village locations are prepared and ready to continue offering their customers the highest level of service while their stores are under construction," Schnucks Vice President of Construction and Maintenance David Carey said in a statement.
Customers will be able to continue utilizing Schnucks delivery and curbside pickup through Instacart during the remodels, the grocery chain said.
Both remodels are expected to be completed by late fall 2024.
Cross Keys remodel
According to Schnucks, the Cross Keys store opened back in 2003. The remodel of the 63,000-square-foot location will include:
- New entrances, lighting, décor, checkout lanes and self-checkouts.
- An expanded and relocated bakery.
- A renovated produce department.
- A new and relocated liquor department, CVS pharmacy and florist.
- A renovated and expanded deli.
- A relocated fresh sushi area.
- Expanded frozen food and dairy departments with case replacements.
Hampton Village remodel
The 63,000-square-foot Hampton Village location was acquired by the grocery chain in 1995, according to Schnucks. The remodel will include:
- New checkout lanes, shelf-checkouts, lighting and décor.
- An expanded and relocated bakery and liquor department.
- A relocated fresh sushi area.
- Relocated and expanded frozen food and dairy departments.
- A new refrigeration system.
- A new cheese shop.
- Renovated and expanded deli and produce departments.
