Schnucks recalls ground beef sold at Belleville store

The products, which have a sell-by date of July 30, may contain plastic wrap, the grocery chain said.

BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Schnucks has recalled its 90/10 Fresh Lean Ground Beef purchased Monday at an Illinois store due to possible contamination. 

According to a news release from Schnuck Markets, the ground beef sold between 12:30-4:30 p.m. July 29 at its 800 Carlyle Ave. store in Belleville is included in the recall. The products, which have a sell-by date of July 30, may contain plastic wrap, the release said. 

Customers who purchased the ground beef should return the meat product to the store for a full refund or exchange, the grocery chain said. Those with questions can contact the Schnucks Customer Care team at 314-994-4400.
