Central West End restaurant closing its doors on Sunday

The Scottish Arms will close on July 28 after plans to change ownership fell through. The owner is still looking for someone to keep the business going.

ST. LOUIS — A Central West End restaurant and pub is closing its doors.

The Scottish Arms, located at 6 South Sarah Street, is closing after service is done on Sunday, July 28.

"From the day we opened in May 2005, The Scottish Arms has been more than just a restaurant; it has been a gathering place for friends, families, and our cherished regulars," owner Ally Nisbet said in a statement. "Our goal was always to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, where the community could come together to enjoy good food, drink, and company. We have been incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve you, our loyal patrons, and to be a part of your lives."

"We were in the process of an ownership change, but it unfortunately fell through at the last minute," Nisbet explained. "We are still working to secure new ownership and/or investors to keep the Arms going. If you are interested in discussing future plans, please email scottisharms.contact.ally@gmail.com for more information."

Here are the hours for Sunday:

  • Restaurant: 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Bar: 5:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.
