New Fright Fest policy announced at Six Flags St. Louis

The theme park announced the new restriction Friday, saying it will go into effect on Sept. 13.

EUREKA, Ill. — All Six Flags St. Louis guests younger than 15 years old will be required to be accompanied by a chaperone at this year's Fright Fest celebration, the theme park announced Friday.

The chaperone must be at least 21 years old and must present a photo ID with a date of birth at the ticket entry, a social media post made by the park said. The policy is set to take effect on Sept. 13 and will be in effect from 6 p.m. to park close on Fright Fest nights.

"The safety of our guests and associates has always been our top priority," the post said. "One chaperone must accompany no more than 10 guests age 15 or younger per day and must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay."

The park will remove any 15-year-old or younger guest from the park if they are found without a chaperone, the post said. The chaperone requirement applies to all Six Flags St. Louis one-day ticket and Season Pass holders.
