ST. LOUIS – A snake that escaped from its aquarium at City Museum was found Wednesday morning in one of the museum's caves.
A spokesperson for City Museum confirms the baby bull snake was spotted by two teens playing in a cave. A staffer caught it and returned it to the aquarium.
Laura Wylie emailed NewsChannel 5 Wednesday to tell us she and her friend Paige Hudspeth found the snake around 9:45 a.m. Wylie said the area was dark, and the approximately 10-inch long snake was striking at them.
Officials do not know how the snake escaped.
