KIRKWOOD, Mo. — A Kirkwood diner that first opened in 1947 has closed its doors.

On Jun. 24, the owners of Spencer's Grill announced the closure on Facebook.

In the post, the owners thanked their loyal customers and said, "serving you all and the Kirkwood community has been an honor and we hope Spencer’s Grill will continue on for many years to come."

But this may not be the end of the road for one of the oldest restaurants in the area.

The owners are looking to sell the business, asking those interested to contact Ben Strake at Premier Business Brokers at bens@premierbb.com or 636-667-9409.

Thank you to all of our loyal customers. We are so grateful to have been a part of your lives for the last decade....
