ST. LOUIS - SSM Health announced layoffs in St. Louis, Wednesday.
On Wednesday afternoon, the healthcare company announced that it will be cutting about one percent of its workforce, but would not give an exact number of people who will be let go.
Some of the lost jobs will be from retirements and resignations.
SSM Health leaders will offer support for the workers who are affected.
