One St Charles County teacher gets a big surprise this week. She's been named the county's teacher of the year!
Katelyn Freiert is a special education teacher in the Fort Zumwalt School District. She has a Master's degree in special education with emphasis in Autism and developmental disabilities from UMSL.
Her sister says she has a true passion for her students.
She was surprised with the award Tuesday at a school assembly.
