ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. — A St. Charles man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning on the ramp from Illinois Route 3 to the Poplar Street Bridge.
Illinois State Police were called to the ramp for a report of a fatal crash just before 4 a.m.
According to ISP, a 32-year-old man was driving a motorcycle on the ramp from northbound Illinois Route 3 to westbound PSB when he lost control and struck a concrete median wall.
He was thrown over the guardrail and landed on the ramp from southbound Interstate 55 at Illinois Route 3. He was also hit by passing cars on the ramp.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details have been released.
