St. Louis Aquarium to hold its first job fair Monday

ST. LOUIS — Looking for a job that you’ll be whaley excited for? The St. Louis Aquarium is hiring!

The newest attraction at Union Station will hold its first job fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14. The hiring fair will take place inside Union Station in the Midway Suites 1-5.

Job seekers can apply online beforehand at stlouisaquarium.com/careers. Dress is business casual and applicants should bring a resume, if possible.

There are a variety of open positions, including animal program ambassador, diver, guest experience associate and photography manager.

The aquarium also will be hiring for the three-story ropes course, mirror maze and gift shop.

The St. Louis Aquarium hasn’t announced an exact opening day, but it’s expected to welcome its first visitors sometime late this year. The aquarium will feature one-of-a-kind exhibits featuring more than 13,000 aquatic animals from around the world. The two-story, 120,000-square foot aquarium is being built under the National Historic Landmark train shed at Union Station.

The St. Louis Aquarium is the latest addition in the $187 million revamp at Union Station.

The St. Louis Wheel and Soda Fountain restaurant opened to the public last week, along with a mini-golf course and carousel.
