St. Louis man dies Tuesday in Ozark County crash

CAULFIELD, Mo. — A St. Louis man was killed in a crash Tuesday evening in Ozark County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2011 Ford F150 was driving eastbound at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 160, west of Caulfield, when the truck crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

The truck's driver, a 68-year-old woman from St. Louis, suffered moderate injuries in the crash, according to MSHP. The passenger, 80-year-old James Hagedorn, also of St. Louis, was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield, where he was later pronounced dead.

This marked the 22nd roadway death for MSHP Troop G in 2024.
