ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis area man is preparing to run a race for a good cause.
Jay Murry is planning to run 1,000 laps around the Sumers Rec Center at Washington University in 38 hours. The feat of endurance, totaling 100 miles, is all to raise money for the Rett Spectrum Clinic in St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and the International Rett Syndrome Foundation.
He has done this for seven years, raising about $30,000 for Rett Syndrome. It is a neurological disorder that affects walking and talking.
Murry will be on the track from Oct. 5 and 6. For more information about his race and to donate, click here.
