St. Louis police cracking down on fireworks this year

ST. LOUIS — Every Fourth of July, St. Louis skies light up with fireworks.

The only problem?

Shooting your own is technically illegal in the city. That law is rarely enforced, but police say they won't put up with it anymore.

It is unclear how police intend to enforce this law as opposed to previous years. When asked for specifics, a police spokesman referred us back to the tweet.

This all comes about a year after Macklind Deli burned down. It was suspected to be fireworks-related.
