ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Public Safety Director Jimmie Edwards took questions from the media Tuesday afternoon.
Most questions were related to the recent shooting death of St. Louis police officer Katlyn Alix.
Edwards said they want to be transparent and hold everybody accountable in the incident.
‘There is not a social pattern of dysfunctionality in the St. Louis Police Department – most of them do their job well,’ Edwards said.
In response to Kim Gardner’s letter, Edwards said he will sit down with her.
When 5 On Your Side asked Edwards about drugs and alcohol being involved in the incident he said it’s a ‘bad assumption.’
