ST. LOUIS — St. Louis radio personality Tammie Holland died Saturday after a three-year battle with cancer.
Her sister shared the news online, calling her a loving sister and mother.
Holland was a co-host of the "Real Breakfast Crew" on Foxy 106.9.
Fans and colleagues from across the area shared tributes and remembered her.
Holland shared publicly that she was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2021. In June, she announced she was receiving hospice care.
She was 53 years old.
"She was a bright light in the office, always with a kind word and a warm smile," read a statement from Foxy 106.9.
Holland worked at 5 On Your Side from 1997 to 1999. She wrote for Today in St. Louis and worked as an assignment desk editor, sending crews to breaking news.
Tef Poe wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that he had so much love in his heart for her.
"A giant of a woman," the post read. "She fought til the end like a true G."
Influencer Morgan Casey wrote on Facebook saying, "The whole city just paused. We love you Tammie Holland."
