Stanley Cup surprises St. Louis area veterans

Karl Lund with Greater St. Louis Honor Flight and the USO brought the Cup to Soldiers Memorial Military Museum.

ST. LOUIS — The Stanley Cup made a special stop Wednesday morning.

On its first stop of the day, the Cup dropped by a special spot in downtown St. Louis.

Karl Lund with Greater St. Louis Honor Flight and the USO brought the Cup to Soldiers Memorial Military Museum. A group of veterans had the opportunity for a VIP experience with the Cup!

There were dozens of patriot guard riders and members of all branches of the military, including a 101-year-old WWII veteran.

The President of the St. Louis Blues was also there for the surprise. He took photos with the veterans.
