They're called 'Dogs On Duty' and they need your help

The collection runs from November 1 through January 1, 2018.

ST. LOUIS - A local organization is gearing up for a big campaign to help military K9s overseas, and they need your help.

"Dogs on Duty" is sponsoring a "Treats for Tails" benefit. It’s similar to the well-known “Toys for Tots” program, except the goal is to collect treats, toys, and grooming supplies for military dogs serving overseas.

"If you'd like to donate toys or treats, we ask that they are made here in the United States, simply because it's a compliment the servicemen and women over there fighting for us," Barb Nelson with Dogs on Duty said.

The biggest need items the group is requesting are: Cooling collars, Kongs, pull toys, and neoprene collapsible water bowls – although all donations are welcome. Dogs on Duty also has an Amazon Smile wish list.
