It's a slushy start to Saturday around the bi-state with wet snow pushing in from the south, and rain on the way behind it.
Snow is expected to last through late morning or midday and transition into rain as temperatures rise into the 40s this afternoon.
A light coating is possible before snow changes over to rain. Fortunately, road temperatures are above freezing in most places due to well above average temperatures this past week. That said, roads could be slick in a few spots before rain washes slush away later today.
In addition to slush on the roads and shoulders, visibility could be reduced with falling snow across the region.
Rain begins to move out by late afternoon and early evening, but with clearing skies and dropping temperatures, any wet spots could refreeze with lows falling into the low 30s.
No travel issues are anticipated Sunday with more sunshine and highs in the upper 50s.
