CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – A post on Facebook has gone viral after a woman who applied for a customer service job at a Chesterfield clinic received an email saying the company does not consider candidates that have “suggestive ghetto names.”
Hermeisha Robinson, shared the email on Facebook from Mantality Health.
“Thank you for your interest in careers at Mantality Health. Unfortunately we do not consider candidates that have suggestive “ghetto” names. We wish the best in your career search.”
5 On Your Side reached out to Mantality Health Tuesday afternoon. Kevin Meuret, the owner of Mantality, has owned the company for five years. Meuret believes a former employee hacked the system and generated the emails from a remote website.
He said he's filed police reports in St. Louis County, Chesterfield and the state where he believes the hacking originated from. Meuret told 5 On Your Side he reached out to Robinson to apologize.
Mantality has offices in Chesterfield and south county along with officers in Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska. A woman in Milwaukee also received a similar email. The company offers low testosterone treatments.
