FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. — A Franklin County woman is planning for retirement after winning $3 million on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket.
The "$3,000,000 Spectacular" ticket was sold at K's Kwik-Korner at 1213 Gravois Road in St. Clair, Missouri.
The winner said she was told to get the $30 ticket even though she normally gets the lower-priced ones. As for her plans for the prize money?
"I'm a couple years past due for retirement," she told Missouri Lottery.
Players have won over $71.2 million in prizes from the "$3,000,000 Spectacular" Scratchers game. Missouri Lottery said one top prize remains unclaimed.
Franklin County has won more than $31.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers have received more than $2.1 million in commissions and bonuses and more than $5.7 million in proceeds have gone to education programs in the country, a press release said.
