Missing 11-year-old boy, mother last seen in 2017 could be headed to St. Louis

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A missing 11-year-old boy and his mother could potentially be headed to St. Louis, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said.

Johnathan Reeves, 11, was last seen with his mother Candace Hernton, 29, near South Bend, Indiana on March 11, 2017. Reeves may be using the alias last name Hernton.

It was not immediately made clear as to why the notice was issued one year later.

Both Reeves and Hernton were believed to have been located in the South Bend area, or they may be attempting to travel to either St. Louis or Minneapolis.

Reeves is described as 5-feet-tall and 100 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Hernton is described as 5-foot-1 and 172 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
