LeBron James has been critical of President Trump.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham criticized LeBron James and Kevin Durant on Thursday for their recent comments about President Donald Trump, suggesting the NBA stars should "shut up and dribble" and stay out of politics.

James and Durant discussed political division in the United States in a video published Thursday for UNINTERRUPTED -- a multimedia platform co-founded by the Cleveland Cavaliers forward. "The climate is hot," James said. "The No. 1 job in America, the appointed person (Trump), is someone who doesn't understand the people — and really don't give a (expletive) about the people."

Durant echoed those sentiments, saying, "the country is not run by a great coach."

Ingraham, on her Fox News show, The Ingraham Angle, said the athletes were not elected to political office, so they should keep the political commentary to themselves.

“Must they run their mouths like that?" Ingraham said. "Unfortunately, a lot of kids — and some adults — take these ignorant comments seriously.

"Oh, and LeBron and Kevin: You’re great players, but no one voted for you. Millions elected Trump to be their coach. So keep the political commentary to yourself or, as someone once said, shut up and dribble.”

Ingraham also questioned James' credibility because he does not have a college degree.

"Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids: This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA," she said. "And it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid a hundred-million dollars a year to bounce a ball."

The Heat's Dwyane Wade tweeted about Ingraham's comments later on Friday.
