MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – Injured Arnold police officer Ryan O’Connor got the chance to meet country singer Chris Stapleton backstage at his concert Friday night.
Captains Scott Will and Joe Eagan of the Maryland Heights Police Department were honored to escort O’Connor describing it as “an unreal experience and emotionally powerful for everyone there.”
In a Facebook post, Maryland Heights police said Stapleton is a proud supporter of law enforcement and has met several wounded officers while on tour.
Officer O’Connor was shot in the head while transporting a burglary suspect in December 2017.
