ST. LOUIS(KSDK) - St. Louis Police releasing few details related to the arrests of several people in town to participate in the Ride of the Century events taking place this weekend.
NewsChannel 5 captured the confiscation of dozens of motorcycles that were loaded onto city tow trucks and taken to impound facilities.
Several of the motorcyclists were also seen being arrested by police overnight. All of the riders we came into contact with said they were in St. Louis to take part in the annual event.
Hundreds if not thousands are expected to participate throughout the Labor day weekend.
Police indicated up front however, they would have zero tolerance for anyone choosing to break the law.
One biker who spoke to NewsChannel 5 said he thought the police action was inappropriate & pre-emptive.
