ST. LOUIS COUNTY - An investigation is underway after a woman was hit by a stray bullet in the parking lot of a Shop 'n Save and Citizen National Bank in Maplewood Friday evening.
This happened feet from a popular Manchester Avenue shopping area.
According to police, three men were involved in a drug deal inside of a parked car. One of the men robbed another at gunpoint. Then, two men began fighting outside of their car, when one of the them pulled out a gun and started firing.
A stray bullet hit a woman in the hip who was walking nearby. She was taken to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Police arrested 23-year-old Justin Jones, the man who, police said started firing the gun, and a second suspect. Maplewood police arrested a third suspect on Monday.
