MISSOURI, USA — In addition to voting on local, state and presidential races, Missourians will also have a say in several statewide issues on the Nov. 5 ballot, including a controversial abortion-rights amendment.
Missouri is one of nine states to include an abortion rights measure on the 2024 general election ballot. People across the country will be watching to see whether Missouri voters choose to vote "yes" or "no" on Amendment 3 to reverse the state's strict abortion ban, which went into effect in 2022 after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. To pass, the measure needs to be approved by a simple majority.
