No-excuse absentee voting opens in Missouri for upcoming primary election

Until primary day, Aug. 6, you can cast a vote early without giving a reason.

ST. LOUIS — No-excuse absentee voting started in Missouri Tuesday for this year's primary election. 

Until primary day, Aug. 6, you can cast a vote early without giving a reason.

Voters will be required to show one of these forms of identification and sign the poll book to obtain a ballot:

  • A nonexpired Missouri driver or non-driver license;
  • A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card;
  • A nonexpired United States passport; or
  • Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election.

If you do not bring one of those forms of ID, you will be allowed to cast a provisional ballot. If you cast a provisional ballot, you will receive a stub from your provisional ballot envelope with instructions on how to verify that your provisional ballot is counted.

St. Louis

Monday: Noon - 4 p.m.
Tuesday-Saturday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sundays: Closed.
