Voters approve tax levy transfer for Rockwood School District

The proposition would allow the district to use some of the funds they already receive from taxpayers on capital projects like technology and security upgrades.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Voters on Tuesday approved a levy transfer proposition for the Rockwood School District

District officials said that Proposition 3 would provide debt-free resources for facilities, technology and safety without increasing the tax rate.

The proposition allows the district to use some of the funds they already receive from taxpayers on capital projects like technology and security upgrades. The money will be allocated from the portion that was set aside for debt service.

The proposition required a simple majority to pass.
