JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Main party presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will not be the only ones appearing on the ballot in Missouri.
On Wednesday, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft's office announced that independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had collected the necessary signatures to appear on the ballot. Ashcroft's office also said the Green Party collected enough signatures for its candidates to appear on the state's ballot.
Jill Stein will represent the Green Party in the presidential race for the third time in the last four presidential election cycles.
Missouri requires independent candidates and political parties to collect at least 10,000 signatures from registered voters in order to appear on ballots.
On Saturday, Kennedy's campaign website said it was officially on the ballot in 22 states and has filed signatures for 21 others. With the confirmation from Ashcroft's office, Missouri now marks 23 states for Kennedy.
Stein will appear on presidential ballots in 25 states, according to the party's website. Stein received 1.45 million votes in 2016 and more than 460,000 votes in 2012.
Earlier this year, Stein was one of more than 100 people arrested by the Washington University Police Department after a Pro-Palestinian protest on campus.
