SeaWorld: Killer whale dies, succumbs to illness

SeaWorld announced Monday a killer whale has died after a months-long battle with a fungal illness.
Chopper 5 flew over SeaWorld San Antonio Monday following this announcement.

The 23-year-old Orca named Unna has reportedly been under 24/7 care for the past several months while she suffered from a resistant strain of fungus.

SeaWorld said marine biologists from around the country have been a part of her medical team.

ID=77724044The marine park released a statement Monday:

"This is a difficult time for the SeaWorld team and all of Unna's fans. In honor of Unna, we have decided to cancel all the killer whale shows at SeaWorld San Antonio [Monday]."

Killer whale shows at SeaWorld San Antonio are expected to resume Tuesday.
