SLU raises record $56.7 million in six months

The six-month total also tops annual fundraising goals for all but one year in the university's history.

Fred Pestello, president of Saint Louis University, said Wednesday that the university received $56.7 million in gifts from July to December 2017, the most money it has ever raised in the first months of a fiscal year.

The six-month total also tops annual fundraising goals for all but one year in the university’s history, it said.

“During our bicentennial year, this record-setting giving from our donors shows the commitment and dedication they have for Saint Louis University and its distinct mission,” Pestello said in a statement. “It reflects their support of the strategic direction of the university.”
