ST. LOUIS — As Jasmine Johnson and her family celebrated the Blues Stanley Cup parade on Saturday just like hundreds of thousands of other people, they had no idea they were about to experience a moment they'll remember forever.
The family stood right behind the rails on Market Street as the players passed by. Johnson's one-year-old son, Corwin, was being held by Johnson’s aunt.
That's when the baby caught Blues player Pat Maroon's eye.
"He crossed the street and walked over, put the cup down in the street and came right over to Corwin and put him in the cup," Johnson said.
"Everyone was ecstatic! When we returned him to my aunt, no words were said. Just all big smiles and us thanking him for the moment and for the cup!"
Johnson, who is from Pilot Knob, Missouri, said her whole family are diehard Blues fans.
To make things even more special, Corwin just celebrated his first birthday on June 7, the same day Vladimir Tarasenko’s youngest son was born earlier in June.

Jordan Binnington even held Corwin for a bit, and though his older sister slept through the big moment with Maroon, she got some attention from Oskar Sundqvist earlier in the parade.
Baby Corwin might not remember this moment when he grows up, but rest assured, his family will be telling him about it for a long time.
