Sponsored: 5OYS, Scott Credit Union joined in on the Italian Fest Parade in Collinsville

Since 1984, the community has honored their Italian heritage and culture with the two-day festival and parade.

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — With the sound of sirens on Saturday evening, the 40th annual Italian Fest Parade is a go!

On the third weekend of September, in Collinsville, everyone is just a little bit Italian. Since 1984, the community has honored their Italian heritage and culture with the two-day festival and parade.

"There's a very strong Italian population of immigrants. So, it's just natural to have this kind of event for Collinsville," says Mayor Jeff Stehman.

The weather impact storm tracker hit the parade route along with the 5-plus bus and Scott Credit Union's Hummer.

"Collinsville is a big part of Scott Credit Union. They're in our backyard. We've been doing this parade for many years. We just have a blast doing it. They all know us, and we all know them," says Teresa Harmon with Scott Credit Union.

Thanks for having us, Collinsville!
