ALTON, Ill. — It's Wednesday and that means we're halfway through the week and one step closer to the weekend.

If you're still looking for weekend activities to do, don't worry, Great Rivers and Routes has you covered. Introducing The Great Rivers and Routes Weekend Report.

Starting this Friday, enjoy a weekend of powerboat racing and music with the return of the F1 Powerboat Alton Midwest Championship. Watch powerboats fly across the Mississippi River at speeds of 120+ mph.

On Saturday, enjoy live music with the return of the Mississippi River Festival at the Alton Amphitheater. Grammy award-winning artist Larkin Poe is set to take the stage as the headlining act.

Tickets are available now for $25.

Finally on Sunday, get ready for a spooky event. Join Troy Taylor for a special event at the American Oddities Museum in Alton during this pre-conference happening! Guests have the chance to not only privately browse the museum but also have reserved seating for a presentation from Troy about his favorite artifacts on display! Located inside the haunted Mineral Springs Hotel, the American Oddities Museum features dozens of exhibits highlighting Alton's history, haunted objects, supernatural items, sideshow relics, medical quackery, true crime, funeral artifacts, religious relics, and much more!
