ST. LOUIS — Monday morning, Emma Klues, the VP of Communications & Outreach of Great Rivers Greenway, joined Mary Caltrider live in the studio to discuss the May 1st Brickline Greenway Community Celebration event at Harris-Stowe State University.
All are welcome to celebrate the Brickline Greenway progress on Market Street on May 1st, 3:30-6:30 pm at Harris-Stowe State University. Free food, fun for all ages, and formal remarks will be at 5:30 pm.
According to a press release, "Construction will begin later this summer for the new stretch of greenway that will run along Market Street between 22nd St. and Compton Ave. 'The 0.8-mile project, complete with trees and artwork, is funded through regional sales tax dollars from Great Rivers Greenway, local donors and funding from the State of Missouri."
This is one of many pieces of the Brickline Greenway, which will connect 14 neighborhoods in the City with 10 miles of greenway, with trees, art and equitable economic development along the way.
