Sponsored: Help change the lives of children and their families by becoming a wish granter with Make-A-Wish

Looking to volunteer in the New Year? Make-A-Wish is looking for volunteers to help grant wishes to over 600 children.

ST. LOUIS — Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas provides life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses and they need volunteers now more than ever.  If you’re looking for a way to give back and make a difference, become a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas. Currently, there are over 650 children throughout Missouri & Kansas who are waiting for a wish and those wishes rely on volunteer wish granters to help make their wish come true. A wish has the power to transform lives, bring communities together and create life-changing moments. The majority of wish children go on to live healthy lives and reflect on their wish as a turning point in their recovery.

Monday morning, Breanna Melville stopped by the studio to share her own experience as a volunteer. Breanna received her wish when she was 17 years old. Today, she volunteers and works for the organization that gave so much to her and her family during her medical journey.

Head to wish.org/mokan to apply to become a volunteer. Volunteer opportunities include being an event organizer, an interpreter/translator, or a wish granter. Connect with the nonprofit on Facebook (@MakeAWishMOKAN), Twitter (@MakeAWishMOKAN), Instagram (@makeawishmokan) and YouTube (Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas).
