Sponsored: STL Science Center empowering teens from underserved communities with science program

For over 22 years the Saint Louis Science Center’s Youth Exploring Science (YES) Program has been at the heart of their mission to ignite lifelong learning.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Science Cetner's Youth Exploring Science (YES) Program is the only 4 year, informal STEM learning program in St. Louis that delivers opportunities in a work-study framework and prepares participants for in-demand careers of the future through hands-on experience and direction interaction with innovative professionals working in science fields around the Metro Area.

On Wednesday morning, the Science Center stopped by Show Me St. Louis to share that more than 1,200 St. Louis area youths have participated in the program since it began 25 years ago. Plus, more than 90% of those individuals have pursued higher education or science-based career opportunities after their high school graduation.

You can learn more about getting your teen involved in the program by visiting here.
