You may have seen an article online from the Boston Globe with the headline 'Hey, St. Louis, it’s not just our hockey team that’s better. It’s our food, too.’
I thought that deserved a response. So, on my way out of Boston I wrote this...
Dear Boston-
Just leaving after a fabulous trip to your fair city. We had great weather which was pretty lucky because I hear it snows there about 9 months out of the year.
Only had time for a couple of meals and I was told I had to order a lobster roll. I’m no food critic but shouldn’t a lobster roll have some lobster? $30 for celery seemed kind of pricey. They’re much better in Maine.
By the way, happened to drive by City Hall. I hope you fired the architect.
Traffic was pretty bad. That was somewhat surprising considering you've spent more on highway construction than any city in US history.
Your sports teams have had a great deal of success lately. I’m a big fan of Tom Brady but did I see something about Robert Kraft in the papers?
And how about the Red Sox?! They now have 9 World Championships. 2 more and they’ll catch the Cardinals. Is it true you once traded Babe Ruth?
Thanks for your hospitality Boston but I’m looking forward to getting home. If I ever get out of this traffic!
