3 St. Louis area natives selected to 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will take place from Thursday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb. 4, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

ST. LOUIS — The National Football League announced Wednesday the rosters for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, Florida, with three St. Louis area natives selected.

Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Terron Armstead, Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta and Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams were selected to represent their teams in the Pro Bowl Games. 

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will take place from Thursday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb. 4, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The games will feature skills challenges and a flag football game, pitting the AFC against the NFC. 

Terron Armstead attended and played at Cahokia High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the 2013 NFL Draft. 

Armstead signed with the Miami Dolphins in March 2022. He started the 2023 season with multiple injuries but was activated at the beginning of November. 

Highland, Illinois, native Sam LaPorta was selected from the Detroit Lions for the 2024 Pro Bowl. 

LaPorta is a Highland High School and University of Iowa graduate and was selected by the Lions in the 2023 NFL Draft. 

He's had one of the best rookie seasons for a tight end in NFL history. Overall, he has 81 receptions for 860 yards and nine touchdowns.

The 22-year-old is the only tight end in NFL history to have 70 receptions, 700 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in their rookie season. 

Kyren Williams is a St. Louis native and attended St. John Vianney High School before playing at the collegiate level at Notre Dame. The Los Angeles Rams selected him in the 2022 NFL Draft. 

In his second year, Williams leads the Rams with 228 carries for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also has 32 catches for 206 yards and three touchdowns.
