KIRKWOOD, Mo. – St. Louis native and former NFL player Jeremy Maclin returned to his high school to give back to the community on Monday.
Maclin is hosting his ninth annual ‘JMac’s Back to School Packs’ at Kirkwood High School in the Dr. David Holley Assembly Hall at 7 p.m. through his non-profit foundation, ‘JMac Gives Back.’ He’ll share a message with kids before distributing 400 fully stocked backpacks to students in grades K through 12.
In conjunction with ‘The Shack’ an additional 600 backpacks will be taken to schools and community organizations across Interstate 70 from St. Louis to Columbia to Kansas City.
Maclin also returned to Kirkwood High School in June to host a football camp.
In March, Maclin announced his retirement from the NFL.
