Girls hockey expanding in St. Louis

The St. Louis Lady Cyclones are hosting a free hockey game this summer.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis is trying to expand hockey for young female athletes this summer.

A local club called St. Louis Lady Cyclones is offering a free skating event on Saturday, July 13 at the St. Louis Ice Zone.

The girls attending the camp will get game and skating lessons, equipment and skate rental, all for free.

The president and director of girls hockey, Rod Fahs, is extremely excited about expanding girls hockey within the area.

Fahs believes it can become very successful considering the U.S. women's Olympic team just won the gold medal.

For more information on the club or how to register, view their website.
