ST. LOUIS — Florida Panthers star and St. Louis native Matthew Tkachuk brought the Stanley Cup back to his hometown for his day with the trophy as a champion.
Tkachuk made stops all around the area visiting with friends, family and fans with the Stanley Cup.
Grassi's St. Louis
The Cup and Tkachuk stopped for a quick bite at Grassi's Ristorante & Deli on Wednesday.
OB Clark's
The Tkachuk family and friends made a stop Wednesday night at the popular sports bar in Brentwood.
Villa Duchesne
Matthew and his siblings, all graduates of Villa Duchesne, headed to the school and brought the Stanley Cup for campers and staff members.
St. Louis Children's Hospital
"It's amazing. To me it's all about their smile," Matthew Tkachuk said. "They go through stuff I never could imagine. Their spirits and their reaction and smile is what it's all about. It's absolutely priceless. This trophy here is a very magical thing, and that does it for people. To me, that's the most important thing, seeing how happy they are. Even if it's just for a couple minutes of their day when they're having tough days, to remember this."
Brentwood Police Department and Fire Department
Tkachuk stopped at the firehouse and police department in Brentwood.
Chaminade College Preparatory School
Tkachuk headed to his former high school and took a photo in front of the doors. He graduated from Chaminade alongside NBA star Jayson Tatum.
Sportsmans Park Restaurant & Bar
Matthew Tkachuk made another stop at a popular restaurant on Thursday. He stopped at the Veteran sports-themed restaurant and bar.
Anheuser-Busch Brewery
A Clydesdale was able to drink out of the Stanley Cup!
